What Prompt Librarian collects

Prompt Librarian does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on servers operated or controlled by the developer.

Prompt files

Prompt Librarian stores your prompts exclusively on your device, in the folder you choose, whether that's your iCloud Drive or a local folder. Prompts are saved as plain-text Markdown files, alongside metadata (titles, timestamps, tags, and variables) stored as plain-text JSON in a hidden .metadata folder next to your prompts. You can inspect or edit that metadata at any time.

When you use iCloud, the default storage location, your files sync to and from Apple's servers using Apple's own iCloud technology, and Apple's privacy policies apply to that sync. Prompt Librarian has no control over or visibility into it.

You can turn off iCloud sync at any time and store your prompts on a drive of your choosing instead, internal or external. In that case, you're responsible for the storage and backup of those files.

Crash reporting and analytics

Prompt Librarian includes no analytics, crash reporting, or telemetry of any kind.
